How to Get Rid of Butt Acne
The word “acne†is not unknown to people. Everyone knows that acne is an extremely annoying condition wherein red pimples, often filled with pus, appear on the face, chest and neck.
While there are many suggestions on how to address acne in these widely discussed and largely visible places, many people tend to hesitate when it comes to discussing acne on the butt. Butt acne is almost as widely prevalent as other acne and affects a large number of adolescents – male and female.
It is also known to affect a large number of adults who may or may not be prone to acne on the rest of their body. Butt acne has just the same causes as other acne – hormones, skin sensitivity, allergies and clogged pores. Butt acne can be embarrassing, but if you suffer from this condition, there are simple tips that you can take to get rid of it.
Tip #1
Choose underwear that is absorbent, comfortable, breathable and never too tight. Choosing those that are made from natural fibres, and avoiding nylon, polyester and other synthetic material will help curb the outbreak of acne.
Tip #2
If you are a person who exercises a lot, ensure that you wash your body well with a mild antibacterial soap once you are done. Since sweat is a contributing factor to butt acne, ensure that you do not remain in sweaty underwear for long, especially after exercising.
Tip #3
Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water each day and increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. What works for facial acne works for butt acne as well, and this is an excellent way to target the problem from within.
Tip #4
Get rid of dead skin cells on your butt by gently exfoliating the affected area with the help of a wash cloth, followed by a body scrub. Once this is done, add 5 plain aspirins to warm water and add this to a few teaspoons of plain yogurt. Mix this into a paste and apply it on your butt. Allow it to dry and then wash it off. Aspirin is a great aid to easing the inflammation of acne.
Tip #5
Avoid using soaps or body washes that are oil-based. Choose products that are water-based as these do not clog up pores and will help your skin breathe free.
